Here, I share with you the 10 best places to live in Colorado state. Don’t blame me if I left out some great cities or towns. It was a tough selection.

Aspen

Aspen is a ski resort town in Colorado’s rocky mountains. Aspen is known for its winter sports but it’s also a destination for yer-roud outdoor recreational activities, it also has some really cool landmarks like the wheeler opera house that was built in 1889.

Aspen is in a remote portion of the rocky mountains which makes it one of those places that city dwellers often dream about unless you’re like from Miami or Phoenix and the whole thought of snow and fresh air makes you want to cry. Now if Aspen didn’t have so many visitors every year it would probably be the pefect place for most people to move to. Crime and cost of living are the only things that bring Aspen down. Not a lot of major crime but drunks and petty theft are present in Aspen, like most places that have busloads of tourists every year. This place is beautiful. Here’s some facts about Aspen:

96.7% of the people in Aspen have completed high school. That’s amazing, other places like Chicago there was sections that only like 42% of the people in this neihborhood had a high school diploma. 96% is phenomel. A median home price in Aspen is a hundred and fifty-two percent higher than the national average, like I said, cost of living is pretty high in a place like that.

Morrison

When I research places for my list, I always come across this one stat about crime, which reads something like Morrison has an overall crime rate of 12 per 1,000 residents of being the victim of a crime. Now a good town will have a something like one in 75 chance, a bad town might have something like a 1 in 12 chance of being a victim of a crime.

Morrison is hidden from the highway in a small Gulch. Gulch doesn’t sound very attractive but that’s what they call like a little valley. Anyway, that’s where it’s settled at.

Here’s some stats the overall crime rate in Morrison. It’s a hundred percent lower than the national average. Morrison is safer than 98 percent of the cities and towns in the United States. The employment rate in Morrison is 82% lower than the national average.

Now they did have a sad situation in April of 2010 an explosion caused by an untapped gas well destroyed a home on twilight avenue killing two people and seriously injuring a third, this incident prompted a statewide discussion on fracking and drilling throughout the state they figured that gas was let loose because of some of the fracking in the area, if you don’t know what fracking is, I encourage you to look it up, there’s a lot of controversy going on with whether it’s really bad but I think it’s great because it’s lowering gas prices and oil prices but there’s some environmental impact to it that you want to know about. There’s plenty of stuff on google about it both pro and con.

Castle Pines, Colorado is located about 20 miles south of Denver and has about 10.000 residents. 9 999 of them are really nice people and one of them is my cousin.

Castle Pines is fairly new community that was incorporated in February of 2008, now it’s been said to be one of the best places to raise families in Colorado and that’s due to the great schools and low crime, which if you’ve got a family, those are two things you really want to have and this is the place for you.

The homes are little pricey, but that’s okay. If you can afford it, this is the type of place you want to live. Louisville

Louisville is a town between Denver and Boulder and it dates back to a mining town in 1877. Louisvill does a great job incorporating its history with a more modern feel. Don’t get wrong, it is a great place to live, it’s just they make a point of saying it incorporates its history. Superior

Superior is another town with its history going back to a coal mine in the 1800s. The town is an affluent family friendly area with extremely low crime rates and lots of fun stuff to do. This town has superior stats across the board, the only stat that isn’t superior is the cost of living.

Now, it’s kind of to be expected when you’re living a place this superior compared to the rest of the state crime and unemployed stats get A+ which is super, education and housing get A’s, which aren’t super but still good; they even have a Walmart supercenter right outside of town.

Superior is filled with grear neighborhoods and great people, they even have this guy that paints houses that decided to paint his honda like a NASCAR, he’s only halfway completed but hopefully someday that car will look super.
